SILVERMINE HOUSE

This Silvermine house had seen a family grow up, the parents becoming empty nesters and then grandparents. Their vision was to update the house generally, and rationalize some of its quirks.

The project involved adding a new room between the two existing second floor volumes, resulting in a continuous upstairs. The existing bedrooms were reconfigured to create a more gracious primary suite with ample closets and a spa-like bath.

New windows throughout and a reimagined exterior palette give the home an air of freshness while simultaneously reflecting the home's colonial context.
